Karmic Debt Number 16

Numerology is the study of numbers and how they relate to people. And, when reading your numerology chart you may come across karmic debt numbers. It’s based on an ancient practice and idea—that we are spiritual beings that reincarnate again and again, with each new life being a step closer to enlightenment.

This means that each time we reincarnate, we bring with us “karmic dust” from previous lifetimes. This isn’t always a bad thing—it means that we bring with us lessons and beliefs from before, too.

Lessons learned with Karmic Debt number 16:

  • New beginnings.
  • Humility.
  • Self-sabotage.

What Are Karmic Debt Numbers?

Do you ever feel like a dog chasing its tail, repeating certain circumstances over and over again? Are you always sabotaging your relationships or struggling with the same family problems again and again?

Karmic debt is your life lesson accumulation. It’s brought forward to this lifetime when you reincarnate, and it exists on a soul level. That’s not to say that it’s based on every bad deed from your past lives. It’s about the decisions and actions you’ve taken and where they led to.

Karmic debt can also refer to the lessons you wanted to learn and experience in this lifetime. If you decided (before beginning this life) that you wanted the opportunity to learn about anger or patience, you would have included the energy numbers of these into your date of birth.

You’re probably asking yourself why you would choose any lessons when you reincarnate, especially ones that can be complex or painful. The simple answer is—these are the lessons that your soul needs in order to achieve a higher level of consciousness.

How Is Your Karmic Debt Number Calculated?

There are only four Karmic Debt numbers—13, 14, 16 and 19. If your birth date falls on one of those days, that’s automatically your karmic debt number. For example, someone born on the 16th of June would have Karmic Debt number 16.

The other way you can find out if you have a Karmic Debt number is if your Life Path number, Destiny number, Soul Urge number, or Attitude number can split into the two numbers of a Karmic Debt number—for example, 1+3, 1+4, 1+6 or 1+9.

Here’s an example of how it works using your Life Path number: if your birthday is on the 11th of December 1982, then your calculation will look something like this:

December 11th, 1982: 1 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 2 = 25

Then, add: 2 + 5 = 7.

This is your Life Path number.

Karmic Debt numbers are usually split into the sum of their digits: 13/4, 14/5, 16/7, and 19/1.

As you can see, the Life Path number 7 also has Karmic Debt number 16.

This means letting go of the ego and all it’s holding onto. Life will give you challenges, detours and roadblocks, which means your grand plans are often going out the window.

Humility
